Mine actually has a Famicom slot and requires that you use a converter to play NES games. It appears to be an older model though. Strangely enough, it doesn't run Castlevania 3 but it does run Akumajou Densetsu with the extra sound channels. In general the sound is a bit off compared to the original NES, but it's still decent.
